Lab Meeting-1

This is the First Lab meeting for our team WISE this semester. I was very much excited about the website, this semester. The meeting went on lot of things in brief. We talked about the following things.
1) Introduction to Windows Visual Studio 2010
2) Introduction to the subversion Tortoise SVN.
3) Who are our project partners?
4) What changes we have to make according to CFRC?

Jason, the team leader went over a variety of things that we have to do to this semester. He spoke about how the  Windows Visual Studio works and how the usage of it can be maximized by the plug in called Tortoise SVN. He went over the advantages of the usage of SVN, for example the Solution Explorer etc.
He also mentioned the importance of the repository. The meeting also included the probable difficulties that we might face while working with the repository. He discussed about hoe to be careful before committing the code.

We need to first update the code and then start coding, we need to do thus because we need to make sure that we are working with the most recent and updated code. We then start coding and after we  are done with our coding, we update once again and then have to commit the changes to the repository. Every time we make changes to the code, we are supposed to comment on he code so that the next person who tries to change the code has an idea of what was changed. I felt this was a very good way of keeping track of all the revisions of our project. It kind of gives the path way of what we went over the project at the end of the semester.

He also told that we have two more new Corporate partners. We need to start working ASAP! and be able to deliver the project. He also mentioned that UPRC was very much happy about the website ( which was a good thing to hear from the Corporate partners) , thanx to Jason for his work.

The selection of the position was on this way. William was going through of how to assign the roles to each individual. Myself and one of my friend (Dharmil) wanted to become webmasters for WISE. He told as long as we don't have any problem in co-ordinating with each other, he is fine. So  now we are the new Webmaster for WISE team. The new role is very exciting for me. I wanted to use all my skills and make sure the website is up to date and looks decent enough.

We have also made a lot of progress as to what changes we have to make for the CFRC. The details of the changes can be found in this Link
